Winter Severity Index - The Brightest Days / Limited White Edition

Limited Edition of 300 copies, on WHITE Vinyl + 2-page insert.

Fifteen years after its birth, Winter Severity Index returns to where it all began. This new release celebrates the band's 15th anniversary and reunites its original line-up: Simona Ferrucci (vocals and guitar), Diana Salzo (bass), Valeria Tirabassi (drums), and Valentina Fanigliulo (synths). More than a retrospective, it is a return to the emotional core of the project — a journey back to the songs that first defined its identity.

The album revisits nine tracks from the band's earliest repertoire. Five of them were originally available only on the self-produced Winter Severity Index CDR (2011), while the remaining four — The Brightest Days, No Will, Bianca, and Embracing the Void — first appeared on Slanting Ray (2014, Blood Rock Records / Manic Depression Records) in different arrangements. Rather than simply re-recording the material, Winter Severity Index has chosen to reinterpret these songs through fifteen years of artistic growth. The urgency and intensity of the early days remain intact, now enriched by the experience, confidence, and chemistry of four musicians who have never lost the bond that first brought them together. This reunion is also bringing Winter Severity Index back to stages across Europe. More than a celebration of an anniversary, this release is a testament to the enduring friendship between four women and to a musical vision that has remained authentic through the years.
