Prague-based alternative / synth-pop band Lakeside X close out their 2026 campaign with "Fractured" - a collection that traces a world coming apart, held together only by love. The EP gathers the three singles the band released over the course of the year while working toward their fifth studio album, and rounds it out with a club rework of one of them. The title is fitting: each song looks at a different kind of fracture - technological alienation, illusion and intoxication, and outright ruin - and sets against it the same defiant search for the one thing worth holding onto.

"Fractured" first appeared physically - in a strictly limited vinyl pressing - at the band's headline show at Cargo Gallery, Prague, on 12 June 2026. At that point the vinyl already carried the tracks and remixes then available; "Nightrider," as the EP's opening track, only followed as a standalone digital single with July's release.

In parallel, the band are deep into work on their fifth full-length studio album, expected in autumn 2026. Production again comes from German producer Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Architect, DSTR, Covenant), who also helmed the previous record, Love Disappears (2022). Joining the production team for the first time is Christian Eigner - drummer, musician and producer, and a longtime member of Depeche Mode, with whom Lakeside X shared the stage in Prague in 2023 before an audience of more than 40,000.
