808 DOT POP - Minimalism

808 DOT POP is the solo project of Belgian electronic pop and vintage synth music producer Passenger S, known from METROLAND. With its companion album 'Maximalism' (the black album), this new conceptual release explores the architecture of the 20th century through soothing sequences, melodic electronics and carefully crafted minimalist structures. Passenger S guides the listener on a historical journey through Spain, Canada, Japan, Germany, the UK, France and Australia – through places shaped by the defining architectural movements of the 20th century. In doing so, he embraces a deliberately minimalist approach that mirrors the architectural philosophy he so admires: just as modernist architects stripped away excess to reveal pure form, he applies the same discipline to his sound, structure and composition. 'Minimalism' is the white album of the duo – Belgian vintage synth pop for fans of KRAFTWERK, KOMPUTER, ORBITAL and similar artists.
