They started in 1981 as one of Leeds' four famous drum machine bands and were label mates in the beginning of The Sisters Of Mercy. Their first two singles (Religious as Hell and Grovving in Green, both 1982) indeed were out on Andrew Eldritch’s Merciful Release label. The band released a number of highly successful singles under ever changing line-ups (incl.
