For years, aging composer Tom has suffered from severe dementia. He can't remember his adult life; only childhood memories remain. As he slowly slips deeper into a coma, he journeys through his own imagination as a ten-year-old boy. His daughter Gem, who is re-establishing contact with her estranged father after years apart, fears his impending death, but through his darkest secrets, she discovers a way to find Tom again...
