Kontravoid - Sound of the Void / Limited Clear Vinyl

Kontravoid returns with a new, compelling album, Sound of the Void – his second full-length output for Toronto's renowned Artoffact Records. Delivering a murky blend of haunting coldwave, harsh EBM basslines, and pounding electro rhythms, the release solidifies Kontravoid's place in modern underground electronic music. Behind the masked mystique of Kontravoid is Canadian-born, LA-based Cameron Findlay, who has been perfecting his unique brand of dark pop since his self-titled LP in 2012. His compositions move eloquently through EBM, electro and goth, crafting heart-wrenching songs that are both captivating and drenched in melancholy. Releases like 2019's Too Deep and 2021's Faceless found their way into the most derelict corners of foggy, strobe-lit clubs – and Sound of the Void carries that tradition forward.
