Hypnotic, dynamic, and cold, such is the sound produced by Heimberg, a dark Post-Punk trio from Strasbourg/France, formed in 2022. They create a sound that is both energetic and cold, with industrial acoustics. Minimalist yet melodious, the guitar is airy, and the vocals are plaintive and distant. The bass, supported by the synthesizer and drum machine, sets the scene for a raw and stern atmosphere, creating a sound drenched in reverb and chorus effects.
This project by young men aims to challenge certain emotions. Sadness, melancholy, and loneliness are all themes explored throughout their songs. Since their two EPs, previously released digitally only ("Isolation" in late 2022 and "Blind Eye" in spring 2023), Heimberg is diligently working on their regular debut album. In the meantime, this special release unites the two EPs for the first time in a physical format.
Their EP "Endless Lies" inspires a deep melancholy, both dark and energizing. The sound is industrial, accentuated by punctuations of noisy parts. The bass features a rough and distorted resonance, while the guitar is submerged in reverb and delay.
