“Ruindustrial” / “Warlock wave” / “Syntherin” – traditional terms for music styles are simply too restrictive for the Prague-based blackpriests, so they created their own!

Decent Ruins blend their sound from echoes of dark wave and industrial, a witchy atmosphere, the power of dark synth sounds, and an almost ‘EBM’-like punch. The project already made an impression with their very first single "White Quarantine". Not only did it catch the attention of the jury of Sanctuary.cz's goth portal, leading to the track being featured on their "Dark Tunes from Czech and Slovak Caves" compilation, but it also impressed the creators of the post-apocalyptic gaming hit Vigor, who decided to include it directly in the game. Even the subsequent track "Y.L.M.N." did not let the guys down and landed Decent Ruins on the compilation of the prestigious Belgian electronic zine/label Side-Line.com. In 2021, the gentlemen released the split EP "Decay" with the dark electronic fairy Isiolia. Then, Decent Ruins went quiet for two years. Until now…
